if you attempt to use the mibbit client, it may hang for about 2-3 min before actually connecting. i have tried the mibbit client a couple of times myself on different computers and networks, so it is assumed to be normal.
if you are just a lazy fuck and dont care to lrn2IRC then just use chatzilla. its a firefox plugin that can be found
here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16)server: irc.anonnet.org
or
irc.whyweprotest.net
both of those servers are on the same network, so no point in connecting to both.
